EXCLUSIVE: Steve Francis Pulls A Milli Vanilli [UPDATE]

[UPDATE] Ok, so Diggz finally replied to my tweet confirming that it IS indeed him on the verse of  “Finer Songs” but says that they were just having fun.

So please people, if you can hop off my mans and em’s sacks for a sec and let them do them, I’d greatly appreciate it.

I guess the wool was pulled over all of our eyes because that ain’t no damn Steve Francis rapping in the “Finer Things” video.  Recently twitter has been in an uproar about former NBA player Steve Francis taking on rapping, but whole time, the fella that is rapping is his artist Dynomite Diggz!  Diggz is up and coming rapper signed to Francis’ music label, Mazerati Music.

The very first line of the song is a dead giveaway because Dynomite Diggz says “You know who it is, your boy Diggz, back again…”  I mean that alone speaks volumes.  Steve also manages to  fumble over some of the words to the chorus, which if you pay close attention to all of those close-ups of Steve’s mug, you’ll see.  And that further leads me to believe that may not even be him on the hook (like originally thought).  Now, I could be wrong about that, but I am 100% sure that that verse does not belong to him.

If you’re wondering why I’m so confident about this, it’s because I actually had the pleasure of working with Diggz on a song a few months back which my vocals were later removed and replaced with a Tupac sample…I’m still a little salty about that.   So trust me when I say, that is him rapping the verse on “Finer Things,” not Francis!  I mean Steve mouthed all of  two, maybe three words from that verse so that’s another tell-tale sign those aren’t his words.   I’m not sure why Francis has yet to speak on the situation but I sent Diggz a tweet asking him to clear the air but he has yet to tweet me back.  If he decides to shed any light on this situation, I’ll be sure to update you. #WaitForIt
